Yes! We won Microsoft Mobile Incubation Week!

by wenhan.zhou on Jul.02, 2009, under News

We are so thrilled that we had a chance to join Incubation Week. We were sort of late entries because word got to us late. We only signed up on the friday before the week itself.

But we did make it for the event and rushed out a 60% feature complete version for the judging day. A week later, we were pleasantly surprised that we won!

Special thanks for Chris Chin at MS who is in charge of introducing developers to the Win Mo 6.5 platform and to Nick Randolph, a Microsoft MVP, whom was our trainer. In addition to the training, the experience sharing that took place between attendees added fresh perspectives and sparked new ideas for possible mobile applications.

From a development perspective, the platform was relatively easy to pick up, and by judging day, the SGMalls WinMo version was 60% feature complete. Right now we are focused on polishing the UI to ensure that the WinMo users have a good an experience as our iPhone users.

Some screenshots to keep you keeps salivating for the release:) If you are interested to be a beta tester, send an email to feedback@2359media.com

by wenhan.zhou on Jul.02, 2009, under Info

Hi People,

June is ending and the Great Singapore Sale is here! This month’s theme is competition and it is really heating up in the shopping mall space in East Singapore. There is a spanking new mall on the block and it has pushed its way into the Top 10 list!

Introducing Tampines 1!

Tampines 1

Tampines 1

TP1 also has a blog! I believe 1st SG mall with a blog(tampines1.wordpress.com). Well done to the marketing folks over there!

With Tampines 1’s arrival, traffic to the neighbouring Tampines  Mall has dropped. Tampines  Mall dropped  from 4th place ranking to 10th place in 1 month. Wow. We shall see if this is only a short term effect in next month’s result.

And before we sign off, a tip of the hat to Vivocity who still has as big a lead as ever J
