Is a 2359 Media side project, by our very own Android Team. We were interested in making something with many Android watches that were entering the market, and after a couple of quick brainstorms, decided to go with something that both fit the watch use context as well as sated our geeky curiosity. The result?

A watch app that makes use of the accelerometer on the watch to detect typing motion, alerting the end user that it’s time for a break when it detects that they have been typing continuously for too long! To detect the minute movements made when typing, we designed our own custom algorithm to differentiate between typing and other types of movements.

What inspired us

Timely breaks lowers the risk of Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI) and keeps users more productive overall, which is good because developers are our greatest asset after all. :)
