MyBlueprints

Knowledge Management platform for Executive Coaches

The Work

2359's UX team was engaged for the conceptualisation and design of MyBlueprints, a knowledge management system (KMS) and CRM for Executive Coaches, as well as the companion web app for their clients, with the goal of providing a one stop solution for Executive Coaches to manage and coach their clients.

The Challenge

A large majority of Executive Coaches manage their own knowledge systems, as well as CRMs, on seperate systems. Our task was to conceptualise and design a one stop portal for coaches to do both, along with features designed to improve and optimise their workflow.

The Process

Banking on our clients many years of experience in executive coaching, we took them as our first user, gathering in-depth insights into their workflow and obstacles faced. This culminated in a 3 day hands on design workshop, where we gathered design and end users in in-depth discussions and ideations to flesh out, review and quickly iterate on the user flows for both the Coach platform and Coachee web app.

With the first round of iterations done, we went on to create more structured wireframes, which were subject to a final round of reviews and iterations before work on the final high fidelity mockups were created.

Agile Design

In the typical waterfall model, features and timelines are determined before design begins. From our experience, we’ve found that in helping clients conceptualise their product ideas during the ideation process, we help uncover hidden gaps, which then have to be rectified, affecting the previously agreed upon timeline.

Being able to use the agile model for this project allowed us to be more flexible in catering to and solutioning for the many obstacles in creating a brand new product. Having the stakeholders of the project present for the design workshop was also extremely beneficial; In a cooperative design workshop, we are able to ideate, sketch and iterate at a much faster pace, decreasing the time taken for design.
