The Work

2359 partnered with Singtel to provide a dedicated frontend and backend engineering team, focusing on building the next phase of the iOS and Android applications based on the revamped visuals from Singtel and including a brand new set of features to enhance the user experience.

The Challenge

Singtel experimented with a new proprietary technology framework that had yet to be proven for native application development. As the first project team using this new framework, there were many parts of the framework that were incompatible with the features required by the application. Our development team worked closely with the Singtel team to overcome many such challenges during development to ensure there were no delays to the product launch.

The Process

We adopted the Kanban methodology together with the Singtel development team to ensure the workload is distributed effectively and dependencies are visible to everyone in the team. We also run daily standups to ensure transparency among all team members.

Improved Performance

In the previous version, users encountered various layout and performance issues across different devices. The new version provides a new seamless interface for easier navigation for users to manage their Prepaid account, ranging from the most basic buying of data plans and topping up of account balance, to giving you the scoop on the latest deals from Singtel.

It was our blessing to have 2359 join us as part of the pioneer team, alongside implementation of several new technologies which the team was unfamiliar with. Over the project run, 2359 developers have demonstrated tremendous technical expertise and strong dedication to the team as we rolled out the project successfully in 4 major releases. Till date, our active user base for the product has grown by 101%, and received very good app rating feedback from our users for the high quality work done, great job!

Since launch, the new app has grown the active user base by 101% with increased downloads and a significant improvement in user ratings on both app stores, achieving our client’s original goals.
